Black & White

Ok, now back to FatMumSlim photoadaySept. Never mind about catching-up. The theme was black and white. I was palying around with my point-and-shoot Olympia camera for the B&W setting. By the time I got it and testing one shot, the battery ran out on me. So, this was my only shot for the day.



Something I Do during Weekends?

Weekends are when I try to cram my weeks' household chores - ironing, cooking, keeping the house in order and driving my daughter to piano class. Two weekends in a month will be reserved for visitng my mom and my in-laws. These are routine. The not so routine ones are fulfilling wedding invitations or other kinds of invitations with the occassional impromptu sightseeing. Haven't done this in a while. Not to mention Crafting when the mood is perfect. Refer to lszalil.
Today, my family and I fulfilled a wedding invitation from an office client of mine. He's a regular face at my office doing research work for an upcoming project. Today's theme is 9. Something you do most weekends: Do you sleep? Eat? Play? Party? Snap it.

At Night

We chose not to go out last night. There's nothing 'unusual' to shoot from the balcony of my house either. For this entry, I decided to select photos from my photo gallery.
These photos were taken on July 4th. 2012 during my first night outing to Putrajaya. It was really lovely to take photos of Putrajaya's landmark at night and as always, the Putrajaya Mosque is never out of agenda. This is the most photographed Malaysian landmark other than the Twin Towers. The bonus shots were the grand dinner hosted by the wedding couple at one of the gardens there. I hope to visit the garden in daylight for a change.

Bonus shot. Luck would have it that there was a garden dinner hosted by this newly-wed to their guests. Later I leant he was a budding actor. We were at the right place at the right time.

Photo catch-up Session

I have been extremely busy at work - struggling to close my reconciliation before end of September and preparing for Audit which is coming in less than 2 weeks from today. When this happens, I will definitely slack in all other areas of my life. Here's a catch-up of daily photos at FMS.

7. Natural: Take a photo of something natural {in colour or else}.

I was really attracted to the colours of these 'curtains'. There was a private function later in the evening at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) and I took these photo using natural lighting. We were all on our way back to office from lunch.

6. Every day: Take a photo of something from your every day, or something that happens every day.

Praying 5 times a day is an everyday practice for us so whenever I am rushed for time, I seldom conduct the Asar prayers on time. Usually after fetching Zahra' from school, we will stop by this mosque to pray Asar before driving home.

 



5. Bright: Take a photo of something bright. Or someone super smart. Or something just bright!

I was outside my daughter's friend's house to fetch her after school. Rather than wait for me at school, she and another friend decided to walk to their friend's house for a change. The 2 hours wait was well spent getting to know therr friend better. I hope one day to meet this girl's parents. These Bougainvilla truly catch my attention. Such bright colours and I love anything pink-related.

4. In my mailbox/postbox: Take a photo of something out of your mailbox, or inside your mailbox.

My office mail-box is empty today. The good news is I don't have any outstanding bills for the month. Everyday, I pray for all my bills to be paid up and I am totally free. Another news is it just means I am not a regular snail-mailer anymore. I have to find the time and improve on that. I owe my friend Jane a letter. Reminder to myself.

Far Away

I knew it! The moment I am back to work, I'm bound to forget my camera and the excitement to shoot photos. Today's topic is 3. Far Away: Take a photo of something far away, as in distance or time-wise.
I decided to revisit my photo galleries and I came  across this photo of my daughter riding her favourite horse, Doedoe. This is one of my favourite photos of her on the horse and looking at it, I realise she still has a long way to go to achieve as a skill Horse Rider. She still has far to go to explore her dreams.

Father

Today is Father's Day in Australia, or so I gathered from Chantelle's write-up. Her second theme for the month of September at fatmumslim is FATHER (2. Father: It’s Father’s Day in Australia. Take a photo of your dad. A Dad. A father figure. Etc.).
I wonder if this was a coincidence but to day is also Muhammad's birthday. Welcome to the 5-series club dear.
